Oporto is an university project developed for the Lettering course of the Master’s Degree in Communication Design at NABA Academy.
The exam project was to design a six-pages brochure which had to talk about a place. I chose Oporto, in Portugal.
For the front page I wanted to represent the city in a purely graphic way without using any photography so that the landscape and views of Oporto would not be unveiled before the reader would open the brochure. Because of that I used the fascinating graphics of the Azulejos combined with a handmade lettering made by me.
On the inside I chose the most important and characteristic city’s locations to give the reader an overview able to excite curiosity.

Oporto è un progetto universitario sviluppato per il corso di Lettering nel biennio magistrale in Communication Design di NABA.
Il progetto di esame è stata la creazione di una brochure divulgativa di sei pagine riguardo un luogo. Per quanto riguarda la copertina ho voluto rappresentare in modo grafico la città di Porto, senza ricorrere all’uso di immagini fotografiche che avrebbero svelato da subito i panorami e le vedute della città. per questo motivo ho utilizzato le affascinanti grafiche degli Azulejos combinate con un lettering fatto a mano.
